What We Stand For

Career advice should be honest, strategic, and built on principles — never on empty promises.

Premier Career Consultants exists because we believe the career industry has a credibility problem. Too many services sell confidence without competence. We chose a different path: principles first, always.

The Five Principles That Guide Every Engagement

I. Radical Honesty

We will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. If your CV needs rebuilding, if your interview technique is undermining you, if your target role is unrealistic — we say so, with care and with a plan.

II. Evidence Over Intuition

Every recommendation we make is grounded in labour market data, hiring patterns, and sector-specific intelligence. We do not guess. We research, then advise.

III. Client Ownership

Your career belongs to you. We equip you with frameworks and skills so you never need us again. Dependency is a failure of consulting, not a business model.

IV. Long-Term Thinking

We optimise for your five-year trajectory, not your next paycheque. Quick fixes create fragile careers. We build durable ones.

V. Transparent Pricing

No hidden fees. No upsell pressure. You know exactly what you pay for before we begin. If our service is not the right fit, we will tell you — and suggest alternatives.

"These principles are not marketing. They are operational constraints we impose on ourselves. Every consultant here has agreed to be held accountable to them." — Founding Charter, 2019

Advisory Framework: How We Structure Career Guidance

We do not offer a one-size-fits-all programme. Instead, we use a diagnostic framework to determine which combination of advisory services matches your situation. The matrix below shows the relationship between career stage and intervention type.

Career Stage Strategic Review Skills Audit Market Positioning Interview Preparation Negotiation Coaching
Early Career (0–3 yrs) Foundation mapping Core competency identification Entry-level targeting Behavioural interview drills Salary benchmarking basics
Mid-Career (4–10 yrs) Trajectory analysis Gap identification & upskilling plan Sector pivot strategy Panel & case interview coaching Package structuring
Senior / Executive (10+ yrs) Legacy & impact planning Leadership capability mapping Board-level visibility Stakeholder presentation coaching Executive compensation strategy
Career Transition Viability assessment Transferable skills extraction Narrative repositioning Story-based interview frameworks Transition-specific negotiation

"They told me my CV was burying my strongest achievements under jargon. Within three weeks of restructuring, I had two interviews at firms I'd been rejected from before."

"The honesty was uncomfortable at first. But they were right — I was targeting roles two levels above my readiness. The adjusted plan got me promoted within the year."

From our internal tracking:

Of the professionals who completed our full strategic review in 2024, seventy-three percent secured a role aligned with their revised target within six months. We do not guarantee outcomes — but we measure them rigorously.

What We Commit To — And What We Will Not Do

We Will

Conduct a thorough diagnostic before recommending any service. Provide written summaries of every session. Give you tools and templates you own permanently. Refer you elsewhere if we are not the right fit.

We Will Not

Promise you a specific job or salary. Use high-pressure sales tactics. Lock you into long-term contracts. Recycle generic advice from templates. Pretend every career problem has a simple answer.

Our Standard

Every consultant holds a minimum of six years of direct hiring or HR leadership experience. We do not employ recent graduates to advise senior professionals. Expertise is non-negotiable.

Choosing the Right Path Forward

Not every career challenge requires the same depth of engagement. Some clients need a single focused session to clarify direction. Others benefit from a structured advisory relationship over several months. We have designed three engagement depths — not packages, not tiers, but honest reflections of what different situations demand.

Single-session diagnostic: A ninety-minute deep-dive into your current situation, resulting in a written action brief. Best for professionals who are capable and self-directed but need an outside perspective to break through a specific obstacle.

Structured advisory (4–6 sessions): A series of working sessions covering strategic review, skills audit, market positioning, and either interview preparation or negotiation coaching. Best for career transitions or significant pivots.

Extended partnership (3–6 months): Ongoing advisory with fortnightly check-ins, market intelligence updates, and real-time support during active job searches or internal promotion campaigns. Best for senior professionals navigating complex organisational politics or competitive executive searches.

Pricing is discussed openly during your initial conversation. We publish fee ranges on request — email us.

Strategic career planning session workspace

Every engagement begins with a conversation, not a contract.

The Career Industry Needs Better Standards

Too many career services operate without accountability. They charge premium fees for recycled templates and motivational platitudes. We founded Premier Career Consultants because we believed professionals deserved advisors who are held to the same rigour they expect from any other professional service — legal, financial, or medical.

This is not a manifesto for marketing purposes. It is a working document that shapes how we hire, how we train, how we price, and how we measure our own performance. If you share these values, we are likely a good fit.

Questions We Are Often Asked

How do you differ from a recruitment agency?
Recruitment agencies work for employers. We work exclusively for you. We have no financial relationship with any hiring organisation, which means our advice is never influenced by placement fees or client quotas.
Can you help if I do not know what career I want?
Yes, and this is one of the most common starting points. Our diagnostic process is specifically designed to help professionals who feel stuck or directionless. We use structured exploration — not personality quizzes — to identify viable and fulfilling directions.
What if I realise your service is not right for me after the first session?
Then you owe nothing beyond the initial session fee. We do not use contracts that bind you to future sessions. Every engagement continues only if both parties agree it is productive.
Do you work with clients outside Ireland?
We work with English-speaking professionals globally via video consultation. Our labour market expertise is deepest in Ireland, the UK, and Western Europe, but our strategic frameworks apply broadly.
